Najim joined Haworth Tompkins in 2022 and has been actively involved in the studio’s cultural and residential projects. Prior to completing his architectural studies at Cambridge University, Najim graduated with Distinction from Kingston University where his M.Arch thesis project was nominated for the 3DReid Prize. His postgraduate studies focused on self-build construction and he acted as project manager on Unit 5’s live construction projects, including the delivery of a Teahouse designed in collaboration with Terunobu Fujimori as part of the Barbican Centre’s ‘The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945’ exhibition. Before joining the practice, Najim worked as an architect with Adams & Sutherland, and Phillips Tracey Architects where he was involved on a number of bespoke residential and public-facing projects. Najim also teaches architectural drawing and representation as part of the BA Architecture curriculum at Kingston School of Art.
